When buying hot tubs the main factor to determine the size is the number of people which will be using the tub. Therefore the tubs are categorised as to the number of person which can be seated. The most common sizes being 4, 5, 6 and 7 persons. The actual size of the tubs will vary from supplier to supplier some being more compact than others. You should consider the actual size to ensure it will fit in the desired location.
It is worth giving careful consideration to the size, as buying the wrong size may result in the hot tub not being used as often as you would like. Question to ask may include:
• Will it only be yourself and your partner – therefore a compact 4 person spa will be adequate.
• Will you be entertaining and using the tub for socialising – therefore a larger spa may be suitable.
• Is it for family use, with children – consider a tub with seating for children.
If in doubt as to the size you require, consider buying a slightly larger one to cater for the odd occasion where it will be required.
Your budget may well also determine the size of the hot tub you can buy. Consider having a larger tub with less features, rather than a small one with more features, if size is important and your budget restricted.
